D Street Village
SE Division Street has become one of Portland's favorite neighborhood nooks, packed with fun and funky restaurants, shops and places to get together. D Street Village lies right in the heart of it, making the perfect home base for the modern PDX citizen who loves contemporary design, cozy amenity spaces and an amazing location — right on the 50-yard line of all the Division Street action.
Named as an homage to the "D Street Corral," a popular music venue further down SE Division that hosted greats like Hank Thompson, Johnny Cash, The Doors, B.B. King and many more from 1948 through the '70s, this area has had excitement in the air for decades. Although partially destroyed by a fire in 1979, it was restored and held events like weekend flea markets, filled with local vendor booths. Today's "D Street" is inspired by the Corral in this way as well, now home to an eclectic blend of uses — D Street Village adds to the vibrant retail hub, along with high-quality housing, amid landscaped rooftops and beautiful Portland views.
